A Constitutionally Aware, Legally Empowered and Civically Responsible India.
An India where every citizen understands the Constitution not as a distant document, but as a working guide to their rights, duties and everyday choices.
SWAMITRA Foundation works with schools, higher education institutions, governments, workplaces and communities to advance legal education, constitutional literacy, safe institutions and responsible citizenship.
SWAMITRA Foundation is a not-for-profit institution advancing constitutional literacy, legal education, institutional safety and civic responsibility across India. We work at the level where change actually holds: inside schools, colleges, workplaces, government bodies and communities.
We exist because legal knowledge in India is concentrated where it is least needed and absent where it matters most. A student who does not know their rights, a teacher who does not know how to respond to a disclosure, a workplace committee that has never been trained — each of these is a preventable failure.
What makes our approach different is sequence. We research first, build frameworks second, train third, and only then measure. Nothing we publish is opinion; everything is designed to be implemented, audited and improved.

An India where every citizen understands the Constitution not as a distant document, but as a working guide to their rights, duties and everyday choices.
Each area is supported by its own research base, framework, training curriculum and resource library.
Ten national programmes carrying the Foundation's mission into classrooms, campuses, workplaces and communities.
Awareness drives fade. Systems endure. Everything we design is meant to survive a change of principal, a change of HR head, and a change of government.

The Safe School Framework gave us something we had never had — a single document that told us exactly what to put in place, in what order, and how to check it was working.
Our committee had been constituted for two years and had never been trained. After the certification programme, the difference in how we handle a complaint is night and day.
I teach Class 9. I had never been taught how to answer a student who asks whether something done to them was legal. Now I know — and I know who to tell.
