Research Collaboration

Submit a research proposal

Proposals aligned with the Centre's themes are reviewed on a rolling basis. Use this form to propose a joint study, request access to data, or offer institutional field access.

What we look for

  • A question that is currently unanswered in the Indian context
  • A method proportionate to the claim being made
  • Ethical clearance and safeguarding arrangements where people, and especially children, are involved
  • A commitment to publishing findings openly, including inconvenient ones
  • A realistic timeline with identified institutional support

Proposals are acknowledged on receipt. Review typically takes several weeks, and we write back either way. Collaboration does not carry an automatic funding commitment; funding arrangements, where any exist, are discussed separately and disclosed in the published output.

Around 200–400 words is enough at this stage.
